Our professional refurbishing process completely restores equipment to near-new condition. Visit one of our stores if you are skeptical, you won’t believe the resulting quality!

Below, we detail our refurbishment process, including machine-specific repairs that may be performed depending on item condition and function.

Complete Cleaning

Following disassembly for cleaning, all units are thoroughly cleaned. This includes power washing to restore the original condition and shine to each machine.

Extensive Functionality Testing

All equipment sold by Colorado Cardio must pass a testing session performed by one of our team members. Please see below for more information about each test.

Full Test of Electronics and Overlay

All equipment has its electronics tested and overlay panels are replaced when appropriate.

Brand New Replacement Parts

If a piece of equipment is damaged upon arrival, Colorado Cardio will replace the part with a new one. For example, all Precor ellipticals receive brand new ramp covers. Please review below for specifics.

Silicone Lubricant to Protect Against Wear

Two ounces of silicone lubricant are applied during refurbishment to keep parts moving smoothly, with an additional 1 oz applied following run testing.

Final Internal Certification

All equipment that Colorado Cardio sells undergoes a final internal certification of refurbishment quality and machine functionality.

EQUIPMENT-SPECIFIC REFURBISHING

TREADMILLS

All Colorado Cardio treadmills receive:

  • Disassembly and thorough deep cleaning of all mechanical and functional elements (inside and out)
  • Brand new running belt
  • Brand new deck and shock absorption elements
  • Application of new silicone lubricant for all moving/functional parts
  • Extensive testing of electronic components
  • To ensure complete functionality and restoration process quality, a member of the Colorado Cardio team runs a 5K on each machine before it is cleaned and prepared for the customer
  • Thorough deep cleaning of all cosmetic (plastic/vinyl) elements
  • Internal certification of refurbishment quality and machine functionality

 

Based on condition and function, treadmill refurbishment may include:

  • Brand new bearings on front/rear rollers
  • Brand new heart rate grips
  • Brand new keypad or overlay
  • Brand new plastic cover shrouds/caps
  • Brand new drive belt
  • Replacement of damaged cosmetic components (depending on damage)

ELLIPTICALS

All Colorado Cardio Ellipticals receive:

  • Disassembly and thorough deep cleaning of all mechanical and functional elements (inside and out)
  • Brand new grips (for all Precor ellipticals)
  • Brand new ramp covers (inserts) (for all Precor ellipticals)
  • Brand new rechargeable battery
  • Application of new silicone lubricant for all moving/functional parts
  • Extensive testing of electronic components
  • To ensure complete functionality and restoration process quality, a member of the Colorado Cardio team runs a 40-minute session on each machine before it is cleaned and prepared for the customer
  • Thorough deep cleaning of all cosmetic (plastic/vinyl) elements
  • Internal certification of refurbishment quality and machine functionality

 

Based on condition and function, elliptical refurbishment may include:

  • Brand new grips (for Life Fitness and other ellipticals)
  • Brand new washers or snap rings
  • Newly reconditioned drive belt
  • Brand new keypad or overlay
  • Replacement of damaged cosmetic components (depending on damage)

BIKES

All Colorado Cardio Bikes receive:

  • Disassembly and thorough deep cleaning of all mechanical and functional elements (inside and out)
  • Brand new pedals and pedal straps
  • Brand new rechargeable battery
  • Application of new silicone lubricant for all moving/functional parts
  • Extensive testing of electronic components
  • To ensure complete functionality and restoration process quality, a member of the Colorado Cardio team performs a 20-minute session on each machine before it is cleaned and prepared for the customer
  • Thorough deep cleaning of all cosmetic (plastic/vinyl) elements
  • Internal certification of refurbishment quality and machine functionality

 

Based on condition and function, bike refurbishment may include:

  • Brand new seat and/or arm rests
  • Brand new bearings and/or crank arm assembly
  • Brand new keypad or overlay
  • Brand new washers or snap rings
  • Newly reconditioned drive belt
  • Replacement of damaged cosmetic components (depending on damage)

STEPPERS & STEPMILLS

All Colorado Cardio Steppers and Stepmills receive:

  • Disassembly and thorough deep cleaning of all mechanical and functional elements (inside and out)
  • Brand new rechargeable battery
  • Application of new silicone lubricant for all moving/functional parts
  • Extensive testing of electronic components
  • To ensure complete functionality and restoration process quality, a member of the Colorado Cardio team performs a 20-minute session on each machine before it is cleaned and prepared for the customer
  • Thorough deep cleaning of all cosmetic (plastic/vinyl) elements
  • Internal certification of refurbishment quality and machine functionality

 

Based on condition and function, Steppers and Stepmills refurbishment may include:

  • Brand new transmission chain
  • Brand new keypad or overlay
  • Brand new washers or snap rings
  • Replacement of damaged cosmetic components (depending on damage)
